Jules Boquet founded Galerie Boquet in 2023, after ten years as a private dealer. Located at 20 rue Visconti, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the gallery specializes in the 20th century avant-gardes.
Anchored in Surrealism and the historical avant-gardes, the programme alternates monographic exhibitions with thematic shows. The gallery works on regular basis with independent scholars and publishes its own catalogues.
Research is at the heart of the gallery: The gallery represents the estate of the Surrealist artist Marcel Jean and conducts extensive research on the painted work of Dora Maar.
Alongside its exhibitions, the gallery takes part in international fairs as Art Paris and TEFAF Maastricht, and works closely with institutions and private collectors to build high-end collections.
Galerie Boquet is a member of the Syndicat des Négociants en Art (formerly the Syndicat National des Antiquaires).
